Hillary Watch: Buddy Hsu Is Heap Big Crook

It is a well-established fact that the Clintons have consorted with literally dozens of crooked folks -- convicted felons in fact -- throughout their sordid political journey, but according to the indictment prosecutors unsealed today, Norman Hsu may just be the biggest of them.

Norman Hsu, the Democratic fund-raiser with a habit of fleeing the law, confessed to FBI agents last week that he had pressured investors in what he now admits were phony business deals to contribute to political campaigns, prosecutors said in an indictment that was unsealed today.

The complaint, filed in Federal District Court in Manhattan, accused Mr. Hsu of bilking at least $60 million from hundreds of investors in a nationwide Ponzi scheme, and using some of that money to illegally reimburse at least two people who made a total of $60,000 in campaign donations at his request.

While the complaint did not specify which candidates received the illegal or coerced contributions, federal authorities confirmed that one of them was Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. Her presidential campaign has said it intends to return $850,000 to more than 200 people whose donations were bundled by Mr. Hsu

Kind of interesting that the liberal media refers to Hsu as a "Democratic fund-raiser" when he has, in fact, helped raise far more money for Mrs. Bill Clinton that for any other candidate. If The Missus were a Republican -- say Tom DeLay -- they would have to link the names Hillary Clinton and Norman Hsu in at minimum every other paragraph throughout the story, but she isn't. The Missus is, of course, the darling of the leftist press, so just associating this crook and serial fugitive from the law to generic Democrats is perfectly okay -- particularly if the piece contains a hard-hitting journalistic phrase like "federal authorities confirmed that one of them was Hillary Rodham Clinton".

Another interesting bit of info here is the fact that the presidential campaign of The Missus has yet to return the $850,000 which apparently represents the majority of the money Hsu "bundled" for her. If you've got the cash, what's so hard about returning it? Again, if The Missus were a Republican some lefty bird dog like Keith Olbermann or Chris Matthews would be hot on the trail of the canceled checks by now.

As far as returning Hsu’s dirty money goes, it wouldn’t surprise me if “returning the donations” is to The Missus’ campaign what “I did not have sex with that woman” was to the philandering husband she has so dutifully stood by for all these years like a good missus: In other words, Clinton-speak for laundering the money through some other channel and funneling it back into the campaign by some other means.

What does this all add up to?

Well the notion that a campaign machine as savvy as the Clinton Machine didn’t thoroughly vet someone who raised $1 million or more for them is utterly unbelievable. They knew Hsu was a crook and they didn’t care. But I guess why should you worry about whether or not the donors are crooked when you have weasels like Terry McCauliffe and Howard Wolfson working for you?

Bottom line here is these people are crooks who looted the Oval Office for personal gain the last time they were there and will do it again if we have the misfortune of electing The Missus as president of the United States. Bill and Hillary's political ambition and personal gain are numero uno for the ex-first couple – they could give a rat’s ass what’s best for the country. They crave power and, as the Hsu incident proves once again, will make deals with anyone – including the Devil himself – to gain it and keep it. If The Missus DOES become president how many crooks will she be beholden to besides Hsu?

Steve,

You keep trying to make crap stick to Hillary, but I don't think its going to work. Just like it didn't stick during 8 years of the Clinton presidency.
