AFA Signs 400,000 to Boycott Wal-Mart for Black Friday Weekend

According to the American Family Association website, 400,000 people have signed the agreement to boycott Wal-Mart for the two days following Thanksgiving--traditionally two of the prime shopping days of the year.

AFA is calling for the action as a signal to Wal-mart of the traditional family preservation movement's displeasure at the retailer's recent stunning turn to the far left. Wal-mart asked for and received permission to join the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, an act which placed one its corporate vice presidents on the advisory board of the activist organization, and which went unannounced by Wal-Mart itself.

Since quietly coming out of the "corporate closet," Wal-Mart has wasted no time in stocking its website with gay novels, gay advocacy non-fiction, and--most egregiously--pandering to the movement by featuring the release of the gay romance "Brokeback Mountain" over the vastly more profitable and family-friendly "Chronicles of Narnia," released the same day.

To see what's on Wal-Mart's virtual bookshelves, go to www.walmart.com and enter "gay" into the search engine (but don't take your kids there with you.) You will find virtually no representation of the majority position against gay marriage--and plenty of propaganda for it. You will also find gay and lesbian novels by the bucketful.

To register your displeasure with this corporate policy change, join the AFA boycott and tell Wal-Mart you've done so here.

God help us, gays are everywhere......run for the hills.

400k people ah? What is that equivalent to, the number of people that Walmart serves in the first 30 minutes of shopping every day? In other words a drop in the bucket.

Walmart might pay attention to you when your numbers actually matter to them, and right now they don't.

Damn, Kerry. Lighten up. Wal-Mart offers good deals on the stuff I need; like bullets, food, and $5.99 DVD's. Why ya gotta hate?

I don't go there often, but them offering gay books or supporting gay causes won't effect my infrequent visits.

Do you know if they began selling Parental Advisory-labeled music? I know they used to ban it, but that may have changed with the pro-gay "agenda".

And no surprise here, it didn't affect Wal-Mart's sales at all. Too bad the AFA can't pick their battles more intelligently.
