Coddling Criminals: Seditious Old Bag Gets Two Years For Aiding Terrorists
As attorneys go, Lynne Stewart is lower than scum and that's saying something. But she's also a sickly old bag which is one of the reasons she got only two years in prison for acting as the Blind Sheik's personal messenger.
NEW YORK -- Civil rights lawyer Lynne Stewart arrived at her sentencing packed for prison. With medication, books and a pair of sweat pants, she was prepared to begin a stay that could have stretched for 30 years.Instead, Stewart walked out of the courtroom unshackled, free pending appeal of a 28-month sentence after a judge took into account her career of standing up for the most unpopular clients.
"This is a great victory against an overreaching government," she told dozens of supporters outside the lower Manhattan courthouse after winning extraordinary leniency from U.S. District Judge John G. Koeltl.
So a government trying to protect its citizens from terror attacks is an "overreaching government". If that's the case, Lynne Stewart is a frickin' Playboy centerfold.
Fact is, Lynne Stewart is a scary, treasonous old bag -- a useful idiot of the left and of the terrorists who would just as soon cut off her head and crap down her throat as they would look at her. Regardless, she walked out of court a free woman on appeal of a pathetically short 28-month sentence for something she should rightly have been put to death for:
The judge rejected demands by the government that Stewart be sentenced to 30 years in prison for convictions of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorist organizations, making false statements and defrauding the government.Prosecutors had blistered Stewart's acts as "egregious, flagrant abuse of her profession, abuse that amounted to material support to a terrorist group.”
Material support of a terrorist group to say the least, but she gets off with 28 months sans law license because of the good deeds she did defending murderous thugs in the 60s. Using this theory, what the hell is Charlie Manson doing in prison? I'm sure he's committed some deed that should absolve him of his past crimes. Likewise for the BTK killer -- he was an elder in his church. It’s not easy to see how ridiculous this would be, but letting this woman off is no less ridiculous.
The woman is a treasonous snake who consorts with terrorists and it doesn't matter if she was the American incarnation of Mother Teresa or the Pope in the 60s, she needs to be sentenced to spend the rest of her natural life (which shouldn't be long) in prison. What is wrong with a judge that can't grasp such a basic concept as treason?

It's over. With the senior military command in Iraq disagreeing with the Bush administration about direction in Iraq, this war is going to be phased out.

So, plaus, you have nothing to say in Stewart's defense? You need to change the subject? Perhaps that's because she is indefensible. Ms. Stewart knew she was being monitored when she visited the blind one. She therefore created noise so that her cohort could converse with the blind one and not be heard. They were talking about terrorist activities. She aided this, knowingly. She also enabled the blind one to send a message to his followers to kill in Egypt. They did. There were Americans in that number of dead. Stewart is an abomination, and a traitorous American. She loves anarchy more than her own country, and her fellow citizens. She sold you out, and you don't even appear to know it. This is where I don't get some libs. Intellectual honesty is having a moral compass that guides one to admit, though it goes against one's political nature, that something is just wrong. I don't see you demonstrating that quality.

Hopefully she'll bite a vile, foul, maggot-oozing rug and die a slow, painful death.
I want to find a way to sell tickets to watch this.

P.D. you're probably finished with this because you really have nothing to say about Stewart, but to respond to your fallacious charge that the President "admits" Iraq is becoming like Vietnam. Um, no. He said, when asked if the step-up in attacks at the time of Ramadan was comparable to the Tet offensive in Vietnam, that it could be in a strategic sense. Do you understand? The President DID NOT say that the war in Iraq was "becoming like" Vietnam's war. Only that the enemy may be doing the same thing that the Vietcong did at that holiday time. Please inform yourself with more than the lefty sources.
