Karl Rove Woos Latino Supremacists

Imagine if you will that the White House political strategist met with a White group called "The Race" that was affliated with the Ku Klux Klan and that they, of course, championed white supremacy. Imagine that he met with these folks for the purpose of explaining the Bush Administration's policy regarding this racist group's assimilation into society. Now swap the "White" in the above scenario with Latino, and you have the exact idea of how Karl Rove spent his lunch yesterday:

White House political strategist Karl Rove touted "shared values" of faith and family and reiterated President Bush's support of broad immigration reform in a Los Angeles address Tuesday to one of the nation's largest Latino civil rights organizations.

In a lunchtime talk at the National Council of La Raza's annual conference, the Republican advisor outlined Bush's plan for stronger border security, workplace enforcement, a guest worker program and earned legalization for undocumented immigrants.

"He understands immigration is a positive force in this country … vital to keep this country going," Rove said, prompting applause from the crowd of a few thousand.

But he drew scattered boos when he highlighted Bush's recent approval of $1.9 billion in funding for more border security, including deployment of National Guard troops, and was disrupted twice by hecklers who unfurled antiwar and anti-Bush banners.

The usual suspects -- Bill Clinton, leftist Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson -- were there as well, but it is shameful that we would have a representative of a Republican administration pandering to these Latino racists.

This group was behind the "immigrant" protests of last spring and have pictures of them prominently displayed on their web site. Oddly enough, they are pictures that were taken after the outcry over their prominent display of the Mexican flag in the first demonstrations. You'll recall that organizers then bought up thousands of American flags of all sizes and handed them out to "Americanize" the protests and mask their Latino separatist bent. Another thing you'll find when you look at the web site is rampant socialist separatist propaganda supported by your tax dollars to the tune of $10 to $12 million a year.

On the other side of the debate, Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo appeared on Fox's Fox and Friends this morning. He said he thought that the Bush Administration’s sudden change to support tightening the borders before pursuing its precious "guest worker" program for jobs "that Americans just won't do" is just a gimmick. In his opinion, the administration will come up with a phony border security plan, give it a couple months, pronounce it a success, then roll out the red carpet for the illegals. Given the fact that they are pandering to Latino racists, I can't help but think that Tancredo is right.

Remember the first term when Bush was a conservative? I'm beginning to think that was a gimmick as well. At least we got tax cuts and a serious effort to fight global terror.

Steve, you're a raging lunatic.

You have to be to conflate a hate organization known for grusome murders (the KKK) with a civil right group respresenting immigrants.
