Disgracing The National Anthem
I heard that Spanish version of our National Anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner" on the radio this morning while driving to work.
UPDATE:
The Conservative Voice looks at the changes made to the "spanish version" of our National Anthem.
U.S. English, Inc. Chairman Condemns new 'Spanish National Anthem'
Verse 1
Chant:
It's time to make a difference the kids, men and the women/Let's stand for our beliefs, let's stand for our vision/What about the children los ninos como P-Star
These kids have no parents, cause all of these mean laws.
See this can't happen, not only about the Latins.
Asians, blacks and whites and all they do is adding
more and more, let's not start a war
with all these hard workers,
they can't help where they were born.
Verse 2

Does anyone have the lyrics in spanish or english? I have been looking for them but cannot find them..
It's my understanding they've changed the lyrics (and thier meaning) significantly.

Thank you PME for continuing to render satire obsolete.

Read it and weep, or go back to burning Neil Young CD's, you have zero credibility.

"The US Gov't commissioned a Spanish version of the Star Spangled Banner in 1917 "
So?
You're awful quick to declare we've rendered satire obsolete.
So what?
Now you're insinuating that everything the US government has done is automatically correct?!??
You know the US Government put "under God" into the pledge of allegiance in the 1950's, so it MUST not violate the seperation clause after all....

At any rate, I don't care if they sing the national anthem in spanish.
I care if they change the meaning of the song, however, to fit thier political goals. English or Spanish, either way that is wrong.

Come to think of it, were you satirizing Russ with that post TRF?
