WMDs in Syria, Says Former Saddam Air Force General

As has been speculated time and time again with no reporting by antique media outlets like the New York Times, a former Air Force General under Saddam Hussein is claiming in his new book that Iraqi weapons of mass destruction were moved into Syria prior to the war.

The man who served as the no. 2 official in Saddam Hussein's air force says Iraq moved weapons of mass destruction into Syria before the war by loading the weapons into civilian aircraft in which the passenger seats were removed.

The Iraqi general, Georges Sada, makes the charges in a new book, "Saddam's Secrets," released this week. He detailed the transfers in an interview yesterday with The New York Sun.

"There are weapons of mass destruction gone out from Iraq to Syria, and they must be found and returned to safe hands," Mr. Sada said. "I am confident they were taken over."

Note to liberals: this is your cue to begin bashing this Iraqi General, President Bush, myself for even writing on this, and completely avoid addressing the claims of this book.

very interesting. It is what I have always believed. All of the countries and Intelligence could not have got it that wrong. People like our resident libs just simply WANT to believe there were no WMD. I don't really care either way. I know that there are other justifications for this war. But THEY hone in on the popular leftist notion that WMD didn't exist because they mistakenly think that it means that America shouldn't have gone to war. Well, sorry. We didn't need it, but it will cancel out that particular argument.
