Free Expression Now Includes a "Right" to Public Nudity

The folks in Daytona Beach can let it all hang out. Federal Judge John Antoon assured that Spring Break in this college student spring hot spot ought to be even more interesting than normal this year.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- A federal judge struck down Daytona Beach's anti-nudity laws, saying they are unconstitutional.

U.S. District Judge John Antoon decided Friday that Daytona Beach's laws prohibiting public nudity and nudity in places that sell alcohol violate the First and 14th amendments' protections of free speech and equal protection.

Daytona Beach also failed to prove its claim that adult nightclubs create secondary negative impacts on levels of crime, prostitution and illegal drug activity in neighborhoods, Antoon wrote.

"We won on every single issue," said Daniel Aaronson, a Fort Lauderdale attorney representing Lollipops Gentleman's Club in its federal lawsuit.

City officials said they plan to study the judge's ruling and ask the City Commission about a possible appeal.

Public nudity has been an issue at some of the city's large gatherings, such as Biketoberfest and Spring Break.

Well, since this judge found a "right to public nudity" in the Constitution, we can all rest assured that it'll be an even bigger issue in the future. Let those uncensored drunk hottie Spring Break cameras roll!

So, Matt, you really think it's unreasonable for people who live in Daytona Beach not to want their kids exposed to naked strangers?

Why would they let them go to that beach? Stupid gits, if you tell 'em once, you've told 'em a thousand times! DON'T GO TO THE NUDE BEACH!!

Yet, strangely, the kids are compelled beyond their will or their parents. WE MUST USE STATE POWERS TO PREVENT THESE POOR VICTIMS FROM BEING PULLED TO THE NUDE BEACH AGAINST THEIR WILL!!

Let's stop at nothing to help these poor, helpless souls. I know! Those people without clothing are terrorists! Let's get the NSA to listen into their phone conversations!!

And, clearly, Steve doesn't seem to have a complaint in this: "Let those uncensored drunk hottie Spring Break cameras roll!" I guess this was another humor post. :)

But seriously, does the Constitution specifically enumerate many of the rights you have today? No. It's a framework, and new "rights" are added as time marches forward, through legislation and case law.

How about my right not to be exposed to ugly bodies? And since Daytona Beach is the home of NASCAR, you KNOW there would be a whole bunch of those!

Um Yeah, I usually don't acknowledge you, but I will make an exception:

prohibiting public nudity and nudity in places that sell alcohol

The word "and" is an operator that joins two things. In this case, it is joining two places in which nudity was banned and now isn't.

If you are going to acknowledge something why not choose your disgusting and racist death lists?

Thank you for publicly reaffirming the conservative believe that killing others will solve your problems. We knew this about you already, but with each post you make yourself more plainly understood.
