al-Zarqawi Killed?
The Jerusalem Post is reporting that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed today.
At least one Arab television media outlet reported that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the head of the al-Qaida in Iraq, was killed in Iraq on Sunday afternoon when eight terrorists blew themselves up in the in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul. The unconfirmed report claimed that the explosions occurred after coalition forces surrounded the house in which al-Zarqawi was hiding.
While we can not be certain at this point that the news is true, it would represent a major symbolic and tactical victory for coalition forces.

If true, it would be the first time I was glad to hear about a suicide bombing.

Pardon My English - We're wrong about the news FIRST.

Matt, your comment is not worth addressing. However, if you don't like PME, don't come here, that simple.

Not only THAT, but matt's comment is also incorrect atr its core....as usual. PME CANNOT be the FIRST to be wrong with the news because PME is not a primary source. Good job being yet another illogical ass with nothing to say.
Doubt this is the guy. DNA will show that the search is still on. However, intense fights such as this one was my be an indicator of a high-profile terrorist asshole in the house.
One can only hope.....so long as you're not matt.

Bring on the personal attacks!
If this site had any concern with integrity, it would verify information before it was posted. Instead, it rushes to post information it wants to be true.
Good job guys - you beat the major media players to it!
Bloggers rule!

"While we can not be certain at this point that the news is true, it would represent a major symbolic and tactical victory for coalition forces."
Not that I should have to repeat it, but Aaron clearly stated that the accuracy of the story was not yet confirmed. What he reported on WAS true. He reported that other media reported on Zarqawi being killed. Are you disputing that the other media reported that?
I think, what you're doing, is *looking* for something to argue about. You're so left, yet you hang around a conservative blog all day. Are you that pathetic and bored?

It's called "the news" you ignorant ass with nothing to say. Well, the MSM picked up on it yesterday afternoon. Guess you have to get a new source for your misinformation. Only asses like you hope this news is false. However, I find it wquite ironic that you're gonna whine about personal attacks when that's the only thing you've done here....fucking hypocrite. If you had any integrity, you'd just shut the fuck up until you actually had something to say....but oh how we'd miss you around here when you post nothing...
Damn you Aaron for picking something up in the news and posting it here. Where's your integrity in not running over there and conductind a DNA assay yourself to prove it?

Strange!
I was under the impression that there was a difference between "News & Opinion" and general speculation.
Maybe Bin Laden was caught!
Discuss!

Strange, I thought you had something to say there. Other than Aaron placing news stories in the news category.
Unless you've got a news story in which OBL is reportedly captured, stop your insignificant whining. Since you missed it, as usual, this is neither opinion nor speculation. It's a news item and Aaron is passing it along. You whining that the Globe is reporting on this too? That the AP is reporting on this too? That the NYTimes is reporting on this too? CNN? Yeah, got nothing to say...just whine really loudly and maybe someone will pay attention.

The difference being that they're reporting that there is little or no truth to the matter.
I know, I know, I'm splitting hairs.

The difference being that they're reporting that there is little or no truth to the matter.
And I quote: While we can not be certain at this point that the news is true......
Read much? Or is it just blind criticism? As of THIS article's post time, the MSM was claiming the exact same thing Aaron is claiming....that AZ "may have been killed" "pending confirmation from the Pentagon"
It'd save much more time if yoiu just popped in and said "I have nothing to say". No, you're not splitting hairs, you're just being an ass.

Geez mattk, they are just linking it as-is. They aren't making any excessive claims, just linking to news. This isn't a newspaper. Even I have no problem with this post, and in fact I hope it is true.

God forbid this is true. That means that maybe our military did something right. We can't have that...
There's a reason matt's jumping all over it.
I believe they're still doing DNA testing? His death really wouldn't surprise me after what happened in Jordan... Hopefully it's true.

Wonder why matt's the only one that hasn't expressed the hope that this is true? This would look a little good for Bush and that's not good for matt and his saviors.

Why would I bother saying what others have said?

Because you don't hope it's true. It would be baaaaad for your saviors.
