An Eye On Sheehan
Michelle Malkin spent the afternoon keeping an eye on Cindy Sheehan's protest culmination, full with photos and links. Michelle will be posting video from her Treo 650 soon...

I find it fascinating that conservatives LOVE to talk about Sheehan. (at least this website)
i don't know any liberals that care the slightest bit about her.

Bet you a 50 I could find several on my school's campus. Probably including some of the professors.

"Some of the loudest applause greeted Mrs. Sheehan, who last month kept a 26-day vigil outside the president's Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas."

Matt, The way Micheal Moore uses her on his website, it would seem he thinks she the best thing to come along since the deep fryer.

Matt,
The fact that you don't know any liberals who care about Sheehan proves one of three things:
1. You're completely out of touch with everyone who shares your political ideology.
2. You're willfully ignorant
3. You're purposely bullshitting us.
Fact is that were it not for the fawning adulation of the leftist commie antiwar peacenik web sites and Michael Moore, Moveon, Democratic Underground -- leading liberals all -- and the disproportionate attention heaped on Sheehan's campaign by famous commie pinkos and the 80% liberal press, no one would even know -- or care -- who the empty headed, diarrhea of the mouth bimbo Cindy Sheehan is. Her campaign is entirely about the use of Cindy Sheehan as a willing propaganda tool of the left -- it has nothing to do with her son or any of the others who willingly gave their lives for their country. It is entirely about bringing down the Bush Administration at all costs regardless of whether we lose the War on Terror – and our country – in the process.
Conservatives only pay attention to Cindy Sheehan for two reasons: She’s a prime example of the blithering idiocy, ignorance, stupidity and outright hatred the left has for any view that opposes theirs and this blithering idiocy ignorance and stupidity provably would endanger our freedom and our existence as a country were her idiotic views not countered with rationality and common sense and allowed to proliferate. Fortunately, the American people are smart enough to see through this moron’s charade, but right-minded people have a duty to report and comment on the idiocy of the left.

$50 to anyone that can drag in a liberal to post here about the importance of Sheehan beyond that of a anti-war cheerleader.

Remove "Cindy Sheehan" and replace it with any other name and you have a perfect go-anywhere attack against any political opponent, right or left.

I got nothing more to say about the woman. She's a has-been that the lefties only THINK is still useful when preaching to the dwindling numbers of anti-war protestors. Talk about an echo-chamber. One hurricane and she's gone from the front pages and the minds of most forever.
i don't know any liberals that care the slightest bit about her.
Do you know any liberals? I get it, 2 minutes of fame-based care-factor as the spokeswoman of the anti-war cause and then y'all don't care about her anymore.
...and UY adds to the thread, as always.....CIRCLE-JERK ON....

Sarge,
Dwindling?

Read about the counter protest
http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/09/25/war.rally.ap/index.html
The only thing that appears to be dwindling is the support for the war.

Well...I'm going, of course, by BOSTON, NYC, and DC numbers and then by the ability of anti-war groups to get larger numbers regularly like they used to. 2 Years ago they could get 2000-3000 students down on the Commons to protest the war....er....support Palestinian terrorism. Now, they're lucky if they can get a hundred. They actually stopped wasting their time and haven't had a sizeable protest in quite a while....last fall. I suppose y'all don't read about the throngs of less-than-30 supporters that meet Sheehan at some of her stops...outnumbered by the reporters and camera crews there to cover...nothing..
Dwindling? Yes. They used to have weekends with multiple large-city protests that would get tens of thousands each....EVERY WEEK...even in Boston. Now, the IAC will only create 2 major protests/fundraisers a year. Once around the anniversary of the start of Iraq in DC which will always get around 30-80K...damn that spring-break using up all that $50 bus money, and once at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct.....to get the freshman and returning college students active and bus them all to ONE city...DC. Tens of thousands every weekend or a 100K fundraiser for ONE weekend. Which is better, more numerous, more productive?
Now, your illogic in bringing in the counter-protest isn't what you make it. Counter protestors, by default, are never gonna show up in big numbers because they tend to work for a living instead of being college students paying $50 (fundraiser) to get bused in from Boston or Michigan, or NYC....and they want their time away from work to spend with theri families having BBQs. Counter-protestors ALWAYS get 400 for these things. Counter-protestors such as these have lives that involve hard work and families....not 3 day parties, smoking illegal substances down on the Mall.
But if all the anti-war groups can muster every 6 months is 100K instead of 100K every week.....it's a good day.
Yes...dwindling....even if all the UY-troll can muster to NOT make an argument is "Wha?".

Sarge, The news stories are only one example. Do you disagree that support for the war in Iraq is waning?
Posted by TRF
at September 26, 2005 11:54 AM
How the hell can I know if support FOR the war is waning if I do not have a valid baseline to go off of? What're ya gonna do...show me some polls? Show me a poll with the questions asked and the raw data of who answered what and I'll show you how it was statistically analyzed to get the results they wanted.
I'm just talking about the fact that the main anti-war group that started weekly protests in 6 cities with at least 20K to 30K per city, then monthly protests in 6 cities with the same amount, then biannual protests in ONE city with the same amount. Well, you either get the picture or you don't. Numbers are not going up in the anti-war protest crowd and over time numbers are certainly going down.....and with each new crop of freshmen to brainwash, they lose the same amount in seniors that graduate and enter the working world.....or no longer can waste the $50 to board a bus to DC.
Now, you can't conclude "support" for the war by looking at who has the time to waste to show up at an anti-war protest. That's just not logical. You'd have to conduct a poll of millions of Americans with ONE question. Do you support the war in Iraq? No qualifying questions beforehand that're used to influence your opinion the way the pollsters frequently do. No covert statistical analysis of the data by weighing certain groups answers more than the others'. No removing outlyers that don't fit your small-world-view. Report a simple percentage of a mega-sample on ONE untainted and non-directional question. You will not see that poll because they'd rather ask pointed questions in push-polls with guiding qualifying questions.
You wanna go off of an OPINION poll that only gets the opinion of a few thousand people and then tries to statistically claim that's the opinion of the country...well, we all know how the exit polls went last year....
BTW.....Cindy Sheehan was just arrested in DC as part of her MLK-wannabe civil disobedience tactics. She wants to be like MLK was? Bring on a bunch of fire-hose and billy-club bearing pro-war police with orders to beat the shit out of anyone practicing civil disobedience. THAT is what MLK went through. She gets a 2-man pick-up team to carry her smiling face away and will spend 5 minutes in jail and a $25 fine for obstruction of a public pedestrian walkway.

Margie thinks all polls are wrong because one poll was wrong.
And yet the problem is selective sampling on whatever he arbitrarily disagrees with.

Who are YOU?
Way to make an argument, but we all know that's not the reason why you troll here. Nice job knowing nothing of statistics, just another wrung on the "UY knows nothing" ladder. Wow, dipfuck, I didn't even mention "selective sampling", but thanks for bringing up yet another of the great ways polls are twisted. Good job being a know-nothing dinkus witrh absolutely nothing to add here, as usual.
Welcome to yet another installment of circle-jerk UY style.

Nope, only dipfucks like you believe in conspiracies. It's called the truth.
>>>Way to make an argument
Not only do you have no standing in the "making an argument" category to say anything about other people's arguments (having never actually made an argument yourself), but I wasn't making an argument dumbfuck, I was clearly pointing out that instead of actually trying to make an argument, you typically went for one word in MY argument and went off on...a nothing red herring. Good job.
WTF look at the above numbnuts.
Which above numbnuts am I supposed to be looking at? Your little troll numbnuts or matt's numbnuts?
