Sheehan Family Tells Cindy To Stop
The Drudge Report has received an email from Cherie Quarterolo, Casey Sheehan's aunt and godmother. Casey Sheehan's mother, Cindy Sheehan has been holding an anti-war vigil outside President Bush's Crawford Ranch.
Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish. Thanks Ð CherieIn response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:
The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.

Guess it isn't just us evil conservatives who think Cindy Sheehan is a liberal anti-war group stooge who is making an ass out of herself and a mockery of her war hero son's memory.

Her opinion of "what" means more? Her opinion that she can be used by liberal groups to further their agenda? I can't blame her for her grief, but she's just found a way to feed and continue that grief right up until the point that she chooses to stop being used. Waiting for the book deal...

You're goddamnmed right they're taking advantage of her. Notice how what she says in front of the cameras has transformed from "grieving mother waznts some answers" to "If Israel would pull out of Palestine....blah, blah"? THIS is what the anit-war crowd has been usurped by since around the spring of 2002....the anti-Israeli/pro-Palestinian crowd. Enough so that the anti-war protests in Boston do not gather the numbers they used to.....because anti-war AMERICANS cannot stand in unison with the pro-Pallie/anti-Jew crowd. Seen it numerous times where an anti-war protestor walks by us saying "I don't agree with YOU, but I surely don't agree with THEM either....that's not my cause"
She's being used, with or without her knowledge.
