Bolton Answer "Inaccurate"

They've found it! The Democrats apparently think they've found a way to snag not only Karl Rove but John Bolton with the Plame "investigation" according to the Associated Press:

WASHINGTON (AP) -John Bolton, the nominee for U.N. ambassador, inaccurately told Congress he had not been interviewed or testified in any investigation over the past five years, the State Department said Thursday, responding to a Democratic critic.

Bolton was interviewed by the State Department inspector general as part of a joint investigation with the Central Intelligence Agency related to Iraqi attempts to buy nuclear materials from Niger, State Department spokesman Noel Clay said.

When Bolton filled out a Senate questionnaire in connection with his nomination, ``he didn't recall being interviewed by the State Department's inspector general. Therefore, his form, as submitted, was inaccurate,'' Clay said. ``He will correct it.''

I wouldn't be one bit surprised to see the Democrats use this tiny little detail to resurrect the Bolton nomination and try to use this as the final nail in the coffin of his long drawn out non-confirmation to be ambassador to the United Nations. In fact, it was Delaware Senator Joe Biden, one of the libs who is hell bent on killing not only the Bolton nomination but the John Roberts Supreme Court nomination and getting Rove fired as well, who brought up the issue:

The response came after Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., wrote to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice asserting Bolton had been interviewed and suggesting he had not been truthful in his questionnaire.

The state department earlier today disputed Biden's allegations.

For his part, I sincerely hope Joe Biden is proud of himself (and I'm certain he is) for proving the Bolton's memory isn't as good as he thought it was. That's about the ONLY thing significant about this inconsequential revelation except, as I said, the opportunity it gives the Democrats to throw the final stone in the stoning to death of the reputation (and the nomination) of a capable and well qualified candidate for U.N. ambassador. But we didn't really want a tough-minded U.N. ambassador who might just hold the feet of the corrupt thugs at the U.N. to the fire, did we? Not if the corrupt thugs in the Democratic wing of the U.S. Senate -- soul mates of those in the U.N. criminal syndicate -- have anything to do with it.

Ironically, this news came on the heels of the revelation that President Bush was indeed planning on a recess appointment for Bolton as early as Tuesday of next week. Will he get his opportunity, or will Biden use this non-issue issue to prevent a recess appointment? I think that's exactly what the good senator had planned all along.

You people are insane! The story only proved his memory is not all that good? Are you kidding?! Because it could not possibly be that he is doing what comes natural to him - lying! Unwrap the flag that is blinding you and open your eyes people! There are many reasons Bolton sucks and the fact he is a LIAR is only one of them - who forgets being asked by the Senate about faulty info on the topic of GOING TO WAR? Seems like a biggie to me, something I would not soon forget. Apparently, I am better suited for the position that Bolton, simply because I have a memory - or because I would not lie.

Nice lame rant....work WITH the medication, son. Dipshit liberal....he was not "asked by the SENATE" about ANYTHING. Your attention to detail is seriously lacking...or are yoiu just a hypocritical LIAR? It was the State Department Inspector General...moron.

Now, I have no problem with someone that speaks with loads of gubmint people daily...not remembering an "interview" with one of them about something he was not even under investigation about. I suppose only dinks like you remember every conversation you've ever had.
