200 Illegal Immigrants Arrested Throughout New England
My morning was just a bit sweeter this morning upon hearing the news that nearly 200 illegal immigrants were arrested in a 6 day region wide sweep.
Dozens of federal, state and local law-enforcement officers began a search Friday for the roughly 200 people targeted in the sweep; by Wednesday afternoon, they had arrested at least 187 illegal immigrants.Authorities planned a Thursday news conference to discuss the operation, believed to be the largest of its kind staged by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement regional field office, said Bruce Chadbourne, ICE's New England field director.
Those arrested had served time in prison or jail for a wide range of crimes, including attempted murder, rape, child molestation and arson, authorities said.
While it would certainly have been nice if these illegal immigrants were arrested shortly after their initial crime (for the liberals out there, that crime is entering the country illegally), this is still welcome news.
Keep 'em coming. Find them, arrest them, deport them.

Come on now....y'all are being insensitive to their plight. They're only here to do the work that "even black Americans won't do".....and their "undocumented" status shouldn't enable this racist rounding up of good people.
Ironically, they came here to do the work that Ameircans used to do.....in MY neck of the woods, they do the work that highschool students and those recently graduated and college kids on summer break used to do.....but no longer can a college kids come home for the summer and do landscaping or house painting or dishwashing or busing tables or frying clams.....nope...THOSE are the jobs that "even black Americans won't do" that are now done by foreigners...some illegal, some not.

I don't believe there is any argument against deporting illegal immigrats that have served time. Its interesting that this isn't a standard part of the criminal justice system - I'd like that explained.

Bleh..don't even get me started on that bullcrap 'no one wants those jobs' stuff.

Explanation: Nobody has the political balls to undertake something of this magnitude......NOBODY. The #1 worry of politicians is getting re-elected, not rounding up illegals and shipping them home.
....and it's not one of the top 10 issues of the People as a whole(myself excluded)...for they're too worried about other "hitting home" issuses than to worry about a few Mexicans, thus...the pols can do nothing and politically get away with it.

"Those arrested had served time in prison or jail for a wide range of crimes, including attempted murder, rape, child molestation and arson, authorities said."
Quick, call Tom Mesereau for the child abusers and Bob Shapiro for the murderers and rapists. They can probably recommend someone for the arsonists. And be sure Dick Durbin finds out so he can make a nice speech defending them. (After all, they're his favorite two categories of people--criminal non-Americans.)
How DARE American law enforcement officers persecute people in this way? Why, I bet many of them come from cities where the City Council has decided to give them sanctuary against America's unfair immigration and anti-terrorist laws!
The Senate should investigate this. I'm sure SOMETHING was done wrong!

Matt.......XENOPHOBE!!!!!!!! How dare you push for the deportation of illegals that have committed crimes.
Now you know how asinine it is when we call for the deportation of CRIMINAL aliens....and get labelled as xenophobes for it.
...and xenophobe is a misnomer anyway....nobody FEARs streangers/foreigners/immigrants.....even those that are correctly labelled as such. Fear is not on the menu.

The idea that convicted criminals aren't be deported (and suspected criminals, despite being illegal, having no solid ID and a huge risk of flight are left to show up to court all by themselves) shouldn't really surprise anyone.
We've been complaining about this for 3+ years at least. Haven't you been listening?

sarge... we definately should deport all those illegals who committed crimes.. starting with those that enter this country illegally.

Epoch.....EXACTLY. Their first act in this country is to commit a crime. Deport every single one of them....even matt agrees with deporting criminal aliens.
matt....typically nonsensical bullshit answer....don't worry, I'm used to it from you by now.

Sarge - All the anti-liberal comments on this thread are strawman arguments - misrepresent your opponent, then tear that misrepresentation apart.

Good thing I've been anti-"cool" my whole life. Just like you, matt, to add yet another off-topic comment that simply defines what a straw-man argument....but only makes a blanket statement without providing proof of said blanket statement.
Sorry...I don't speak latin. Nec Aspera Terrent is just the motto of the 27th infantry regiment (no fear on earth....to go against your lame "fear pie" comment).....you know, one of those things you join when you decide to put your country ahead of yourself.....but I guess you wouldn't know anything about that.
Good thing you've finally decided to support our country's right to kick all illegal immigrants out of the country....being criminals and all. Turning to the dark side?

Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori - It is a sweet and seamly thing to die for for one's country.
Timidi mater non flet - A coward's mother weeps not.
I like Latin.
Si vis pacem, praeparet bellum - To secure peace is to prepare for war.
