Is Fundraiser-gate Hillary's Tenth Life?
I've never liked cats and I've never liked Hillary Clinton; so it's appropriate that I would draw an analogy between a detestable little beast and the former first lady, current senator from New York and possible future presidential candidate.
Yes like the aforementioned detestable little animal and its many lives, the rabid feminazi, now from New York, has had more scrapes with political death than anyone with the exception of her philandering hubby and always comes out unscathed and generally smelling like a rose. Could this scandal involving better than $500,000 in misstated hard money from her senate campaign be the one that takes her down? We'll explore the details of this one in a bit. Right now let's count how many political lives Hillary has already used:
1. Whitewater: Where a young Arkansas couple, one of whom just happened to be the Arkansas attorney general, borrowed a lot of money they never paid back and happened to be the only people in this "land development" deal who didn't lose their shirts or go to jail. By the time the government got around to half-heartedly investigating this, who the hell knows where all the evidence was? This one is incestuously intertwined with the next two on the list (such is the case with most of the Clinton scandals).
2. Cattle futures-gate: Where a young, inexperienced Arkansas attorney general's wife, heavy with child, managed to turn $1,000 into $100,000 in a veritable blink of an eye.
3. Madison Guarantee-gate: All kinds of funny money was passed around between the principles in this little fraud including Slick Willie's gubernatorial campaign and Hillary Clinton's law firm as Slick Willie talks his pal Jim McDougal into putting the Rose Law Firm on retainer for $2,000 a month. When questions were raised during Slick's 1992 presidential campaign, Hillary's billing records were printed and immediately lost only to turn up three years later in a room in the private quarters of the White House (Hmmmm!). Most of the people connected with these records ended up dead or in jail except for Hillary and Bill and the taxpayers ended up bailing out the failed savings and loan, owned by Bill's good buddy McDougal, who died in prison, to the tune of $60 mil. This is also the Clinton-gate where Vince Foster's office mysteriously emptied itself of all its relevant contents within 12 hours of his "suicide".
4. And speaking of dead people, there's Dead-person-gate where the Clintons have more than there fair share of close friends and acquaintances who have ended up dead long before their time including some of the Arkansas State Troopers who used to guard the governor himself. Some people say ALL of these deaths are coincidental. If that's the case, it must be a terrible curse to be friends with, guard, do "business" with or even cross paths with the Clintons. How many people do you know can point to 60+ of their acquaintances who have died under mysterious circumstances.
5. Then there's Indonesian banker-gate where, during the reign of William Jefferson the Philanderer in Arkansas, Little Rock seemed to become the U.S. center of the Indonesian banking business, which resulted in many thousands of dollars in questionable campaign contributions for Asian folks who had no business making American campaign contributions.
6. And how about Travelgate where Billy Dale, travel office head for thirty years through Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan and Bush I and his staff were summarily dismissed and run out of town in the back of a cargo van so Hillary could install Harry Thomason and his wifey Linda Bloodworth Thomason, Arkansas buddies and producers of that stimulating sit-com Designing Women could try their hand at running White House travel.
7. Next we have Chinagate where folks such as former California busboy Johnny Chung and John Huang, who were big money donators to Clinton and the Democrats, frequent visitors to the White House during the Clinton years and apparent big buddies of Slick Willie were found to have ties to the Chinese government or, more precisely, the People's Liberation Army.
8. Then there's Monica-gate, brought about by Paula Jones-gate ... oh heck, let's just say Bimbo-gate, (with apologies to the women who were more victims than bimbos) in which there are only two conclusions you can come to: Hillary knew what was going on in all of these affairs and was willfully ignorant or was actually ignorant and she really didn't know what was going on which means that, in either case, she's either too ignorant or too naive to be allowed to be a county garbage commissioner much less president.
9. Then there's drug-trafficker-at-the-White-House-gate where pictures show Colombian drug dealer Jorge Cabrera, $20,000 donator to the DNC and Hillary chumming it up at a Christmas time White House "coffee" (remember those cozy little fundraisers) with the first lady. Cabrera also was invited to dinner at Blair House with Vice President Al Gore. A little while later Cabrera was busted for smuggling three tons of cocaine into Florida and sentenced to 19 years in prison.
Well unless I've missed something, the current scandal, senate campaign fund-raiser gate, is number ten. As we've heard over the past few weeks, David Rosen, the finance director of Hillary's senate campaign, is under indictment for fraud in underreporting the cost of a Clinton fundraiser to the tune of better than $500,000. I don't agree with Dick Morris very often, but he had a valid point when he said on Hannity and Colmes Friday night that a senate campaign -- even a big time New York senate campaign -- isn't a huge national deal like a presidential campaign. The candidate is going to know if the campaign is playing funny with $500,000. And, in fact, there are people, namely celebrity fundraiser Aaron Tonken, who say that Hillary knew exactly what was and wasn't being spent on the fundraiser:
Both Tonken and Hollywood mogul Peter Paul - who bankrolled the Clinton gala - say they personally apprised the top Democrat about the costs of the fundraiser."I told her about virtually every penny I'd spent on her behalf," Tonken recalled in his recent book "King of Cons."
"I told her about the money and what a pleasure it was to spend it on her [Senate] candidacy."
Mr. Paul says Mrs. Clinton was even involved in trying to trim some of the event's production costs.
"Hillary Clinton personally called the producer of the concert part of this event," he told Fox News Channel's Eric Shawn last November.
"She asked him to lower the fee that he was charging of $850,000 at my request. So I don't understand how she could possibly say that she didn't know" about the costs.
One further complication for Hillary: Teddy Kennedy's brother-in-law, Ray Reggie, who, facing charges of bank fraud, agreed to tape record conversations with Rosen about Hillary's fundraising activities. Will these conversations implicate Hillary and even if they do will she just slither right out of yet another legal/ethical scrape? We'll see if this rabid feminazi has more lives than a cat but let's hope like hell that she doesn't. The last thing we need is any chance of another Clinton becoming president.
