Tort Reform Passes In The House

As we noted a week ago, the Senate passed the tort reform bill 72-26. Yesterday, tort reform passed in the House 279-149.

The U.S. House approved class action reform legislation Thursday, opening the door for President Bush's approval.

Passed by the Senate last week, the measure would move many civil lawsuits from state to federal courts in an attempt to end so-called "forum shopping" by trial lawyers seeking to find a district most hospitable to the multi-party suits against companies.

This bill had rather quick passage considering the usual brick wall tactics the left usually implore. So again, why did this pass so quickly? In case you liberals haven't figured it out: mandate.

So again, why did this pass so quickly?

Because most congressional Dems are focusing on SS?
