Terror Regimes for Kerry?

One of the running jokes of this campaign has been the idea that 10 out of 10 terrorists agree: Anybody but Bush. But the rational thinkers among us realize that this isn't a joke. And if they don't support Bush, the obvious question is who do they support? The answer is, quite obviously, John Kerry, with his extreme pacifist bent, the fact that he's been wrong on every defense issue in his 20-year senate career and his idiotic "global test" strategy which would have us begging and bribing despots and terrorists to "pretty please stop being mean and we'll give you whatever you want." Now apparently, some of of these despots have started putting their money where their mouths are.

Witness this story from GOPUSA which reports that the Kerry campaign is taking contributions from folks with ties to the current despotic Iranian regime that would like nothing better than to develop nukes to threaten the world with:

The chairman of a pro-Iranian democracy group is charging that the campaign of Sen. John Kerry has been accepting political contributions from a lobbying group promoting the agenda of the mullah rulers of Iran. Aryo Pirouznia, leader of the Student Movement Coordination Committee for Democracy in Iraq (SMCCDI) says that backers of the regime in Tehran are channeling hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Kerry campaign.

And it appears that these folks were the friends of the Clinton Adminstration as well -- you know the administration that helped the Chinese and North Koreans build a better bomb:

During a press conference in Washington on Thursday, Pirouznia identified several individuals who have close ties to the Democratic presidential candidate. The most prominent of them is Hassan Nemazee, a New York investment banker and a member of the board of the American-Iranian Council (AIC). A chief goal of the lobbying group is the removal of U.S. sanctions against Iran.

Once nominated by President Bill Clinton to be U.S. ambassador to Argentina, Nemazee has raised more than $100,000 for Kerry. Nemazee withdrew his name from consideration following allegations of improper business dealings.

On March 19, 2004, Nemazee was listed as a vice chairman by the Kerry campaign, and on June 18, 2004, CBS News reported that Nemazee was part a group that raised more than $500,000.

It's like I've said before, folks: The Clinton Administration made us the laughing stock of the world because all these terrorist regimes and despots knew that they had the most powerful nation on the face of earth wrapped around their fingers as long as we had a bunch of lamebrained peacenicks who favor pacifism at all costs in power in the U.S. Well, it ain't funny now, because our freedom and our security as we know it are at stake and it appears that these same folks are attempting to buy off the lamebrained peacenick pacificsts the Democrats are running this time. If we care about our future, our childrens' future and our grandchildrens' future we cannot allow another group of these corrupt pacifist morons to be elected.

Funny. These people "hate us" and "hate our way of life", yet they're hatred is nuanced enough to favor one capitalist infidel pig over the other, simply because he leans slightly to the left. Sounds reasonable to me!

So, 70% of the soldiers in Iraq favor Bush to be their commander-in-chief, and snotty Europeans and Axis of Evil types want Kerry.

Seems like a clear choice to me!

I took the afternoon off 'cuz it was raining here, and went to see Team America. They had a great analogy in it between the Right, and the Left, and the terrorists and 3rd world dictators.

I don't want to spoil it for anyone planning to see it, so I'll just reccomend the movie for anyone who isn't offended by puppet sex, puppet violence, and adult puppet language. I'd give it 2 thumbs up.

Jack: You must be more of a commie pig than even I thought you were if you consider Kerry to be a capitalist. He's a liberal elitist/commie/socialist of the Nikita Kruschev ilk. He's rich but scorns any commoners making over the arbitrary sum of $200,000 a year, saying they don't pay enough in taxes while he pays 12%, He thinks we're all too stupid to make our own decisions about health care and retirement savings so he wants to set up socialized medicine for all and keep the failing Social Security system the way it is. I know capitalists, capitalists are friends of mine, and John Kerry is no capitalist.

Steve have you ever happened to see the Political Compass site? Its not that hard to find. Ill wait here while you check it out.

....is anyone surprised that there's allegations of questionable donations from abroad coming into the Kerry campaign coffers?

...Buddist Temple anyone?

Can you say Korean SPY?

...just as, is anyone surprised that jack doesn't think that the terrorist world can't have an opinion on who they wan to be POTUS.

...just as, is anyone surprised that Dum Yeah didn't provide a link to help make whatever point she's trying to make?

...which can only be that Kerry's not a elitist/commie/socialist or Kerry IS a capitalist swine infidel...or that jack's not more of a commie-pig than steve originally thought.

So which is it sammich girl?

Whats the matter Sarge fingers broken. I really cant believe right wingers cannot muster the energy to google Political Compass.

Posted by Um Yeah at October 15, 2004 05:10 PM

See, it's something you don't possess....respect for the time of others. You want everyone else to do the work. Whereas, if I want to make a point, I give the fucking link to make it easier for everyone else to see the point.

....but if you HAVE no point, then keep on with your BS.

Do yyou have a point?

Didn't think so.

Terrorist CAN have an opinion on who they would rather have as the next POTUS...who they would rather have hunting them down. Terrorist supporters like the gubmint of Iran would surely rather have Kerry...who has already said he'd like to give 'em nuclear fuel rods for their reactors (with UN observation and control....and I know how effective THAT is...NKorea anyone?).

Posted by Sarge at October 15, 2004 05:10 PM

Anyone notice that the most socialist of the EU are pushing for an end of sanctions against Iran?

That's the line that Kerry would take...and Iran knows it. Whereas they know that W will use military might in the face of perceived dangers against the US.....without a "global test".....and terrorists and their nation supporters don't want that.

Posted by Sarge at October 15, 2004 05:10 PM

Because I want you to take the Poltical Compass test it only takes a minute. http://www.digitalronin.f2s.com/politicalcompass/

Then see where you stand on the Political Compass and you can also see that Kerry is much close to the Center then W is.

Re 10:

Okay, that was fun. I'm between Margaret Thatcher and Milton Friedman, which seems pretty accurate to me.

However, I don't think you can do this for someone else, so I'm not sure the Kerry rating works. Also, they are using his "statements," and since he's been all over the map about the issues, it would make sense that he would look more centrist.

I would hardly expect any American politician with a real chance of election to cross the center line. We don't elect people like Nader.

However, the point you are missing is that AMERICA is actually more right than centrist anyway, so if Kerry is closer to the "middle," he's actually more American-leftist, not more American centrist.

Fun, though. Thanks for the suggestion.

UY, that was a fun test. Thanks for that link. I only missed the cross by 1 square into the Authoritarian Right. Kerry didn't show up on the graph I got, but if I'm closer to the center than him, feel free to write me in on your ballot.
