Where's The "D"?
As we learn from the Drudge Report, NBC10.com reports that Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell was clocked at 100mph. And not just once.
Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell said his executive detail hasn't been cited for speeding, after a published report alleged Rendell's car was clocked at over 100 miles per hours on nine occasions.Rendell issued a statement Monday, saying that he was "not aware of any instance of my executive detail being cited for driving at unlawfully high rates of speed."
Perhaps the most interesting part of the article is not the fact that he was clocked at over 100mph on 9 occasions, but rather, one easily overlooked fact:
Nowhere to be found is mention that Governor Rendell is a Democrat, also former DNC Chairman.
Matt has discussed this topic in the past, here and here (Pardon My English would have, but we had not begun to blog at that point).
Republican Governor Mitt Romney aides in the rescue of a family while they were boating, and that "pesky little 'R'" as Matt puts it, was nowhere to be found. Similarly, a democratic Governor from Pennsylvania is clocked at over 100mph on 9 occasions, and no "D."
Interesting isn't it?
